Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist to join our remote team. In this work-from-home role, you will be responsible for processing prior authorization requests for prescription medications, ensuring compliance with established guidelines, and facilitating effective communication between patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacies. Key Responsibilities
- Process prior authorization requests for prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and prescription coverage.
- Communicate professionally with healthcare providers, pharmacists, and insurance companies to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.
- Review and interpret clinical documentation to determine medical necessity based on established criteria.
- Document all communications and actions meticulously in the designated systems.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient privacy and data security.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
- Stay updated on changes in medication policies, formularies, and prior authorization requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
