Job Description
We are seeking a highly meticulous and experienced QA Laboratory Specialist to join our dedicated team in Wesley Chapel, FL. This full-time, on-site role is critical for ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance within our laboratory operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control procedures, validating test methods, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This is a stable Monday-Friday position, offering a consistent schedule for a professional committed to precision and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures for laboratory testing.
- Perform internal audits of laboratory operations, documentation, and data to ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO 17025, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and document out-of-specification (OOS) results, deviations, and non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Review and approve analytical data, test reports, and laboratory records for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established procedures.
- Conduct equipment calibration and maintenance verification, ensuring all laboratory instrumentation is functioning within specifications.
- Participate in the validation and transfer of new analytical methods, ensuring their robustness and reliability.
- Provide training and mentorship to laboratory personnel on quality control principles and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all QA activities, including audits, CAPAs, and documentation reviews.
- Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and client services to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Strong understanding of cGMP, GLP, ISO 17025, or similar quality standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Technician).
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) for quality monitoring.
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, food, or environmental testing laboratory.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies.
