Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Remote Freight Broker Agent to join our growing team. This is a fully remote, work-from-home opportunity where you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with shippers and carriers, negotiating competitive rates, and ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods. You will act as a critical link in the supply chain, facilitating seamless transportation solutions for our diverse client base across North America. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect new clients (shippers) requiring freight services.
- Develop and maintain a robust network of reliable freight carriers.
- Negotiate rates and terms with both shippers and carriers to maximize profitability and service quality.
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end shipment process, from pickup to delivery.
- Monitor freight movements and provide timely updates to clients.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during transit.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications.
- Actively contribute to the growth and success of the brokerage division.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, logistics, or transportation.
- Proven negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) or similar software.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Existing book of business or established relationships with shippers/carriers.
- Experience with specific freight brokerage software platforms.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset for our Canadian operations.
