Job Description
Join the FedEx team as a Small Parcel Delivery Driver and become an essential part of our world-class logistics network. You will be responsible for operating a company vehicle to deliver and pick up packages, ensuring exceptional customer service at every stop. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver and pick up packages across designated routes in Fort Worth and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
- Sort and load packages onto the vehicle according to established procedures and route sequencing.
- Ensure accurate scanning and delivery of packages, obtaining customer signatures when required.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during all interactions.
- Handle packages with care, preventing damage and ensuring secure transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Manage time effectively to complete routes within specified delivery windows.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license (Class C or equivalent).
- Clean driving record with no major violations for the past 3 years.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a delivery or courier role.
- Familiarity with the Fort Worth, Texas metropolitan area.
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
- Experience using handheld scanning devices and GPS navigation systems.
