Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Spa Water Quality Tech to join our esteemed team in Burnaby. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about maintaining pristine environments and ensuring guest safety. While this role has a strong focus on water quality and general maintenance, no prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. You will be instrumental in upholding our commitment to exceptional hygiene and operational excellence, ensuring all spa water features meet the highest health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily testing of spa water parameters (pH, chlorine, bromine, alkalinity, etc.) using established protocols.
  • Accurately record and report all water quality readings and chemical adjustments.
  • Safely and precisely apply chemicals to maintain optimal water balance and sanitation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of filtration systems, pumps, and other spa equipment.
  • Inspect spa facilities for cleanliness, safety hazards, and general upkeep, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and perform basic repairs as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate actively in all provided training sessions and continuous learning opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn about spa equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varied environmental conditions (e.g., warm, humid).
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a maintenance, cleaning, or hospitality role is a plus, but not required.
  • First Aid and/or CPR certification is an asset.
