Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Think Tank Associate to join our dedicated research team in Aurora, CO. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about public policy, economic research, and strategic analysis to contribute to impactful thought leadership. The Think Tank Associate will play a crucial role in conducting in-depth research, analyzing complex data, and developing evidence-based recommendations on a variety of critical issues. This position requires strong research skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research on assigned policy, economic, or industry-specific topics.
  • Analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and key insights relevant to research objectives.
  • Draft research reports, policy briefs, presentations, and articles for publication and internal dissemination.
  • Support senior researchers and project managers in developing research methodologies and project proposals.
  • Participate in stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and workshops to gather primary data and perspectives.
  • Monitor relevant news, legislation, and academic literature to stay current on developing issues.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and agenda-setting for future research initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and external clients as required.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and objectivity in all research and analysis activities.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in research methods (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, Python for data analysis).
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience with survey design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with econometric modeling or advanced statistical analysis.
  • Previous experience in a think tank, government agency, or consulting firm.
  • Knowledge of specific policy areas such as healthcare, technology, environment, or urban development.
