Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms and surgical suites, ensuring cleanliness and sterility.
  • Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, including feeding, walking, and administering medications under supervision.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with basic administrative tasks.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments, cages, and other equipment.
  • Educate clients on basic pet care and post-operative instructions.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to pet owners.
  • Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous volunteer or work experience with animals (e.g., shelter, kennel, pet sitting) is a plus but not required.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
