Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans and identify software defects, glitches, and inconsistencies across various gaming platforms.
  • Document bugs clearly and concisely using our internal tracking system, providing steps to reproduce and relevant details.
  • Provide constructive feedback on gameplay, mechanics, user interface, and overall user experience to improve game quality.
  • Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure previously identified issues have been resolved.
  • Collaborate effectively with the development team and other testers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Stay updated with game industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in quality assurance.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols regarding unreleased game content and project details.

Required Skills

  • A genuine passion for video games across various genres and platforms (PC, console, mobile).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills to spot anomalies and deviations.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English communication for clear bug reporting and team interaction.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain productivity in a remote setting.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with different software applications and operating systems.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home testing environment free from distractions.
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere to established testing protocols and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with different gaming platforms (e.g., PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, Android).
  • Experience writing detailed reports or analytical summaries, even outside of a professional context.
