Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Quantitative Chemist with a strong focus on Data Analytics to join our innovative research and development team. This role is pivotal in transforming complex chemical data into actionable insights, driving discovery and development within our pharmaceutical pipeline. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytical techniques, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools to interpret experimental results, optimize processes, and contribute significantly to drug discovery. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply advanced quantitative analytical methods for complex chemical samples.
  • Design and execute experiments, ensuring data integrity and quality.
  • Utilize statistical software and programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis, modeling, and visualization.
  • Interpret large datasets from various analytical platforms (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography, mass spectrometry).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chemists, biologists, and data scientists, to define data needs and deliver insights.
  • Contribute to the development and validation of new analytical methodologies and data pipelines.
  • Present findings and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Stay current with scientific literature, new technologies, and data analytics trends in chemistry and pharmaceuticals.

Required Skills

  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Cheminformatics, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantitative chemical analysis and data interpretation.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and experimental design (DOE).
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Experience with various analytical instrumentation and data types (e.g., LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR, IR).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with machine learning techniques applied to chemical data.
  • Familiarity with cheminformatics tools and databases.
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of GxP regulations and data integrity principles.
