Job Description
Join the Amazon team as a Warehouse Order Filler in our fast-paced Houston fulfillment center. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders, ensuring products are ready for shipment, and maintaining a high standard of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders from warehouse shelves.
- Operate manual and powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) in a safe manner after receiving proper training and certification.
- Scan and sort products, ensuring correct inventory levels and locations.
- Load and unload materials from trailers and put away items in designated storage areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Perform quality checks on picked items to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds regularly, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with inventory management systems or RF scanners.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
