Job Description
Are you an avid TikTok user who loves spending time online and has a keen eye for detail? Google UK is seeking a proactive and observant Weekend Remote TikTok Moderator to join our content moderation team. This part-time role is perfect for individuals passionate about digital safety and community guidelines. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive and secure experience for TikTok users by reviewing content, enforcing platform policies, and contributing to a healthy online ecosystem. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home in Blackpool, Lancashire, or anywhere else in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and review user-generated content on TikTok according to established community guidelines and policies.
- Accurately identify and take appropriate action on content that violates platform terms, including but not limited to inappropriate language, hate speech, harassment, and misinformation.
- Provide clear and concise feedback on moderation decisions when required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of moderation guidelines by flagging emerging trends or policy gaps.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and quality in content review.
- Work independently and effectively in a remote setting, adhering to weekend scheduling requirements.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated active usage and familiarity with TikTok and other social media platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Ability to make quick, accurate, and consistent decisions based on complex guidelines.
- Strong understanding of online safety, digital citizenship, and cultural nuances.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Comfortable reviewing sensitive and potentially disturbing content.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office environment.
