Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team as Weekend Warriors. This vital part-time role offers premium pay rates for Saturday and Sunday shifts, allowing you to maximize your earnings while maintaining a flexible schedule during the week. As a Weekend Warrior RN, you will provide exceptional patient care, demonstrating clinical expertise, critical thinking, and a commitment to our mission of total health. This position is perfect for experienced RNs looking for a dynamic weekend schedule with excellent compensation and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatment plans on weekend shifts.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, record observations, and update medical records accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
  • Respond to emergencies, provide life support, and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  • Adhere to all Kaiser Permanente policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Required Skills

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Specialty certification (e.g., CCRN, CEN, PCCN)
  • Experience in a Kaiser Permanente facility or similar integrated healthcare system
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems, particularly Epic
