Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Wholesale Order Picker with a focus on bulk goods to join our distribution center team in Wesley Chapel, FL. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders, ensuring the correct items and quantities of bulk products are selected and prepared for shipment. You will operate warehouse equipment, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our supply chain. This position requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick bulk goods and products from warehouse shelves based on customer order sheets or using a voice-picking system.
- Verify product numbers, descriptions, and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Stage completed orders in designated areas for loading and shipping.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company standards and OSHA regulations.
- Participate in inventory counts and help resolve discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality control standards.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and accuracy goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items (up to 50 lbs consistently, 75 lbs occasionally).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking.
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment, particularly with bulk goods.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or voice-picking technology.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
