Job Description
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Textbook Packers for the upcoming seasonal high demand period in the education sector. This temporary position is crucial for ensuring that textbooks and educational materials are accurately and efficiently packed and shipped to schools and institutions. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pack textbooks and other educational materials according to specified order lists and shipping guidelines.
- Inspect materials for quality and damage before packing, reporting any discrepancies.
- Verify quantities and item numbers against picking slips to ensure order completeness.
- Safely handle and transport materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily packing and shipping targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand packing slips and shipping labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capable of lifting and carrying packages up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, packing, or shipping role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- High school diploma or GED.
