Job Description
Join FedEx Ground as a Part-time Weekend Container Unloader in Long Beach! This is a physically demanding role perfect for individuals seeking weekend work and immediate payout opportunities. You will be responsible for manually unloading a variety of packages and freight from incoming containers and trailers, ensuring efficient flow within our distribution center. This role requires excellent stamina, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manually unload freight and packages from containers, trailers, and trucks onto conveyor belts or pallets.
- Sort and stage packages according to destination or type as instructed.
- Operate equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 75 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability for weekend shifts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manual labor role is a plus, but not required.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
