Job Description

Join the Hertz team as a Meet and Greet Driver, a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for our valued customers arriving at the airport terminal. In this on-site position, you will be the first point of contact for many travelers, responsible for providing prompt, courteous, and efficient transportation from the airport terminal to our nearby rental facility or designated pick-up points. Your excellent driving skills, commitment to customer service, and friendly demeanor will be essential in upholding the Hertz standard of quality and professionalism. This role requires navigating busy airport environments, assisting with luggage, and ensuring the comfort and safety of all passengers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet arriving customers at designated airport terminal arrival points with a professional and welcoming attitude.
  • Safely operate company vehicles (vans or shuttles) to transport customers and their luggage between the airport terminal and the Hertz rental facility.
  • Assist customers with loading and unloading luggage and personal belongings, ensuring secure storage.
  • Provide clear and concise information regarding the rental process, facility location, and other relevant details.
  • Maintain a clean, fueled, and well-maintained company vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and airport regulations.
  • Monitor flight schedules and adjust pick-up times as necessary to ensure timely service.
  • Handle customer inquiries and minor issues professionally, escalating complex situations to management.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability, ensuring a consistent presence during scheduled shifts.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry luggage up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the local area, especially the airport and surrounding roads.
  • Punctuality and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as airport operations demand.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in transportation, hospitality, or airport services.
  • Familiarity with airport terminal layouts and procedures.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge or ability to perform minor vehicle checks (e.g., tire pressure, fluid levels).
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
