Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud Security Specialist to join our dynamic team in Jersey City. This role is crucial in safeguarding our cloud infrastructure and applications against evolving cyber threats. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud security principles, best practices, and relevant compliance frameworks. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security controls, conducting risk assessments, and responding to security incidents within our multi-cloud environment. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security controls and policies within cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning of cloud environments.
- Monitor cloud security posture and respond to security incidents, alerts, and investigations.
- Develop and enforce security standards, guidelines, and procedures for cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and architecture teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Stay current with the latest cloud security threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Participate in security audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, CCPA).
- Provide expert guidance and training to other teams on cloud security best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud security, information security, or a related field.
- Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of cloud security architecture and principles.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, CASB).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
- Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
