Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Wall Art Mounting Pro with a specialized focus on large mirrors and frames. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise and secure installation of various art pieces, with a particular emphasis on challenging, oversized, and heavy items. This position requires exceptional manual dexterity, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a commitment to safety and client satisfaction. You will work both in our workshop preparing pieces and on-site at client locations for final installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and safely mount large mirrors, framed artwork, and other wall decor pieces in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform on-site measurements and assessments to determine optimal placement and mounting techniques.
- Utilize appropriate tools and hardware for secure installation on various wall types (drywall, plaster, brick, concrete, etc.).
- Ensure all installations are level, plumb, and aesthetically pleasing, meeting high standards of quality.
- Handle art pieces with extreme care, preventing damage throughout the preparation and installation process.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding installation plans, timelines, and any potential challenges.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during handling and installation.
- Assist with in-store framing and art preparation as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in art installation, picture framing, or similar field.
- Proven expertise in mounting large, heavy, and delicate items such as oversized mirrors and intricate frames.
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and specialized mounting hardware.
- Strong understanding of wall construction and appropriate anchoring techniques.
- Excellent spatial reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) independently or with assistance.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in art handling or installation techniques.
- Experience with specialized security hardware for art installation.
- Background in carpentry, construction, or interior design.
- Portfolio demonstrating previous installation projects.
