Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Special Education Music Aide to join our team in Hialeah, Florida. This meaningful role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs in a music education setting. You will work under the supervision of special education teachers and music specialists to create an engaging and supportive environment where students can explore music, express themselves, and develop essential skills. This position offers comprehensive paid training, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about special education and music, regardless of prior direct experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist special education students during music lessons and activities, providing individualized support as needed.
- Help adapt music materials and instruments to meet the specific learning styles and physical needs of students.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in musical exercises, singing, movement, and instrument playing.
- Collaborate with special education teachers and music specialists to implement lesson plans and educational goals.
- Observe and document student progress and behavior, communicating relevant information to the teaching team.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to reinforce musical concepts and social skills.
- Assist with classroom management and general supervision of students.
