Job Description

Netflix is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented App Quality Rater with a strong focus on mobile technology to join our remote team. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute to the quality of our world-class streaming applications from the comfort of your home in Boise. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the flawless performance and exceptional user experience of Netflix’s mobile applications across various platforms and devices. Your insights and rigorous testing will directly impact millions of users worldwide, ensuring they continue to enjoy their favorite shows and movies without interruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans and conduct exploratory testing on Netflix mobile applications across iOS and Android devices.
- Identify, document, and report bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues with clear, concise, and actionable descriptions.
- Provide detailed feedback on app performance, user interface, and overall user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to understand requirements and testing scope.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure the successful resolution of reported issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile operating system updates, device trends, and Netflix app features.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for mobile technology and the Netflix product.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with various mobile operating systems (iOS and Android) and device types.
- Basic understanding of bug reporting tools and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in mobile app testing, quality assurance, or a similar role.
- Experience with JIRA, Asana, or other project management/bug tracking software.
- An understanding of streaming technology and digital media.
- A relevant certification in quality assurance or software testing.
