Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines (lathes, mills) to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining principles, G-code programming, and quality control. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes) including tool changes, offsets, and adjustments.
- Program CNC machines using G-code and CAM software to produce complex parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality production and adherence to tolerances.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, making necessary adjustments to programs or setups.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Perform routine machine maintenance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in CNC machine setup and operation (mills and lathes).
- Strong knowledge of G-code programming and manual data input (MDI).
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints (GD&T).
- Experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of cutting tools, materials, and machining processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in CNC Machining or related field.
- Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM).
- Familiarity with various CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Haas).
- Experience with 5-axis machining.
- Previous experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in English for technical communication.
