Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Telehealth Nurse to join our innovative remote care team. This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from home while providing essential healthcare services. As a Telehealth Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting patient triage, offering medical advice, and providing support through virtual platforms. Your role will be critical in assessing patient needs, guiding them to appropriate care, and ensuring continuity of service for a diverse patient population. We are looking for an individual with excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a passion for leveraging technology to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive telephone and video assessments to determine patient needs and acuity levels.
- Provide evidence-based medical advice, health education, and self-care instructions to patients.
- Facilitate appropriate referrals to primary care physicians, specialists, or emergency services.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
- Manage and respond to patient inquiries regarding symptoms, medications, test results, and general health concerns.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in telehealth and nursing.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah (or ability to obtain multi-state licensure if applicable).
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Comfortable with telehealth technology and virtual communication platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Experience in triage, emergency care, ambulatory care, or telephone nursing.
- Certification in telehealth nursing or a related specialty.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
