Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Epic Games is looking for enthusiastic Virtual Playtesters to join our remote team. This is a unique opportunity to play upcoming games and provide critical feedback, all from your own bedroom – no phone calls required! You’ll be instrumental in identifying bugs, usability issues, and providing general impressions to help us refine our titles before they reach our global audience. This is a 100% remote, contract position perfect for self-starters who love gaming.
Key Responsibilities
- Play assigned video games across various platforms, often before public release.
- Rigorously test game features, mechanics, and content for functionality, balance, and fun factor.
- Identify, document, and report bugs, glitches, and errors in a clear and concise manner.
- Provide constructive feedback on gameplay, user experience, difficulty, and overall enjoyment.
- Complete surveys and written reports detailing your playtesting experience.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines regarding unreleased game content.
- Communicate effectively with the development team through asynchronous text-based methods.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies.
- Strong written communication skills for clear bug reporting and feedback.
- Deep passion for video games across various genres.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently.
- Reliable internet connection and a personal computer/console setup capable of running modern games.
- Self-motivated and disciplined to meet testing deadlines from a home environment.
