Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HPLC Chemist and Chromatography Specialist to join our dynamic team in Lexington, KY. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex analytical testing using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and other chromatographic techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of chromatographic principles, method development, validation, and troubleshooting. You will contribute to critical projects, ensuring data integrity and adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute routine and complex analytical tests using HPLC, UPLC, GC, and other chromatographic systems.
- Develop, optimize, and validate new analytical methods for a variety of sample matrices.
- Perform instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
- Analyze and interpret complex chromatographic data, preparing detailed reports and documentation.
- Adhere strictly to SOPs, GLP/GMP guidelines, and quality assurance protocols.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality Control, and Manufacturing teams to support project goals.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure proper sample handling and disposal.
Required Skills
- Expertise in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC).
- Proficiency in chromatographic method development, validation, and transfer.
- Strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
- Experience with chromatographic software (e.g., Empower, ChemStation).
- Ability to troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent data analysis, interpretation, and technical report writing skills.
- Solid knowledge of GLP/GMP regulations and quality control systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) and Mass Spectrometry (MS) techniques.
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Prior experience in a contract research organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
