Job Description

Are you passionate about creating order from chaos? Do you have an eye for design and a knack for making spaces both functional and beautiful? Merry Maids of Ottawa West & Kanata is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Professional Organizer Aide to join our growing team. In this role, you will work alongside our lead organizers to assist clients in decluttering, organizing, and optimizing their homes. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals who are energetic, empathetic, and eager to learn the art of professional organizing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead professional organizers in decluttering, sorting, and organizing clients' belongings.
  • Implement creative storage solutions and organizational systems tailored to client needs and preferences.
  • Safely and efficiently pack and unpack items, ensuring proper handling and care.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and supportive client experience during organizing sessions.
  • Transport organizing supplies and client donations/discards to designated locations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and supplies are readily available.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
  • Learn and apply best practices in home organization and time management.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes or items up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid G driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for helping others achieve organized living.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a home services, retail, or customer-facing role.
  • Familiarity with various organizing methodologies and principles.
  • A background or interest in interior design, home staging, or creative arts.
  • Basic knowledge of sorting and categorizing items efficiently.
