Job Description
Are you an experienced Class A CDL truck driver looking to take control of your career? J.B. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting any issues.
- Transport freight efficiently and on-time to designated locations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and other required paperwork.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams.
- Manage fuel efficiency and operational costs to maximize profitability.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum of 24 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (MVR) for the past 3 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding of DOT safety regulations
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle maintenance checks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with dry van and/or intermodal freight
- Prior experience as an owner-operator or lease-purchase driver
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation software
