Job Description
Join our vibrant team as a Poolside Snack Bar Attendant for the upcoming seasonal period at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to provide excellent food and beverage service to our guests enjoying our luxurious pool area. This role is perfect for someone who loves working outdoors, has a friendly demeanor, and can handle a fast-paced environment with a smile. You’ll be responsible for taking orders, preparing simple food items and beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and inviting snack bar area.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately.
- Prepare and serve a variety of snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and potentially alcoholic beverages (if certified).
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle cash, and process credit card transactions accurately.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are strictly followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the snack bar area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment.
- Stock and replenish inventory as needed, informing supervisors of low stock levels.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve minor issues promptly and courteously.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all resort policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Strong communication skills.
- Punctuality and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation and safety standards.
- TIPS certification or equivalent for alcohol service (if applicable).
