Job Description

Join Sky UK as an Online Support Officer! This is a fantastic opportunity to become a vital part of our customer service team, working 100% remotely from anywhere in the UK. We are looking for highly motivated and empathetic individuals who are passionate about providing outstanding online support and resolving customer queries efficiently. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers through various digital channels, ensuring a positive and seamless experience with Sky’s products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via live chat, email, and social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide accurate and helpful information regarding Sky products, services, and billing.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to broadband, TV, and mobile services, guiding customers through solutions.
  • Effectively de-escalate customer concerns and resolve complaints with a positive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions and resolutions in our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously update knowledge on new products, services, and company policies to provide up-to-date support.
  • Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards for all customer interactions.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement and provide feedback to team leaders.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional written communication skills, with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Proficiency in using online chat, email, and social media platforms for customer interaction.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a logical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Ability to empathise with customers and maintain a patient, professional, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Basic technical aptitude and familiarity with common internet, TV, and mobile device functions.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and company procedures.
  • A dedicated, quiet home workspace with a reliable high-speed internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an online customer service, helpdesk, or technical support role.
  • Familiarity with Sky products and services (TV, broadband, mobile).
  • Experience working with CRM software and ticketing systems.
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction targets.
  • Ability to speak additional languages, though not essential.
