Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Remote Tech Associate to join our dynamic team. This is a 100% remote position where you will provide technical support and assistance to Microsoft customers and internal teams, ensuring smooth operation of various Microsoft products and services. You will be instrumental in troubleshooting issues, providing guidance, and maintaining high levels of user satisfaction. As an Associate, you will also benefit from our equipment reimbursement program to ensure you have the necessary tools to succeed from your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for Microsoft software, hardware, and services via phone, chat, and email.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, escalating complex problems to senior specialists when necessary.
- Guide users through step-by-step solutions, ensuring a clear understanding of the resolution.
- Document all customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions accurately in our CRM system.
- Contribute to knowledge base articles and internal documentation to improve support processes.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with Microsoft technologies and products.
- Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and maintain high customer satisfaction scores.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Customer service orientation with a patient and empathetic approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals, CompTIA A+).
- Experience with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with cloud services like Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365.
- Prior experience in a technical support or help desk role.
