Job Description
Join Tree Top, Inc. for an exciting seasonal opportunity as an Agricultural Hauler during our peak harvest season. You will be a crucial link in our supply chain, responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of freshly harvested agricultural products from various field locations to our processing facilities or storage sites within the Pasco region and surrounding areas. This role requires a dedicated individual with a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and supporting local agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty agricultural trucks and trailers safely and efficiently to transport harvested crops.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment, documenting any defects or issues.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery records, and other necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with field crews, plant personnel, and dispatch regarding load status and scheduling.
- Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining their quality and integrity.
- Assist with basic loading and unloading procedures as needed.
- Perform minor maintenance or troubleshoot issues on vehicles and equipment when required.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating heavy trucks and trailers, preferably in an agricultural or rural setting.
- Ability to work long hours, including nights and weekends, during peak harvest season.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and vehicle safety procedures.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific agricultural hauling equipment, such as dump trailers or flatbeds with bulk crop containers.
- Knowledge of regional roads and agricultural areas in Eastern Washington.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for routine vehicle checks and minor repairs.
- Forklift certification or experience operating other heavy machinery.
