Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Window Weather Stripping Aide to join our team in Aurora, Illinois. This entry-level position is crucial for enhancing residential and commercial building energy efficiency by properly installing and maintaining window weather stripping. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare work areas, including cleaning window frames and surrounding surfaces.
- Measure, cut, and install various types of weather stripping materials around windows.
- Seal gaps and cracks effectively to prevent air leakage and improve insulation.
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently for installation tasks.
- Inspect existing weather stripping for wear and tear and recommend replacement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Assist senior technicians with more complex window and door installations as needed.
- Document work completed and materials used accurately.
Required Skills
- Ability to use basic hand tools (tape measure, utility knife, caulk gun).
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites within the Aurora area.
