Job Description

We will provide comprehensive training in all aspects of optometric office administration, patient scheduling, insurance verification, and basic patient support. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival and manage check-in/check-out processes efficiently.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal flow of the clinic schedule.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits, explaining financial responsibilities clearly.
  • Answer multi-line phone system, address patient inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information.
  • Process payments, prepare billing statements, and reconcile daily financial transactions.
  • Assist patients with preliminary paperwork and provide general information about clinic services.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  • Collaborate with optometrists, opticians, and other clinic staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Learn and adapt to new office procedures and software as needed.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
