Job Description
Join Dodd’s Moving & Storage as a Delivery Helper and become an essential part of our team, assisting with the safe and efficient delivery of furniture and white goods to our valued customers. This entry-level role is perfect for a responsible 17-year-old looking to gain practical work experience, develop strong teamwork skills, and contribute to a well-respected local business. You will work alongside experienced drivers and movers, learning the ropes of professional delivery and customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced drivers in loading and unloading furniture and white goods onto and off delivery trucks.
- Safely transport items into customer homes or businesses, ensuring no damage occurs to property or goods.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines for lifting, moving, and securing items.
- Communicate courteously and professionally with customers and team members.
- Help with vehicle preparation and cleanup as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Be punctual and reliable for all scheduled shifts.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (with assistance).
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
