Job Description

Scripps Health is seeking an enthusiastic Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our clinical setting in Escondido, CA. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and experienced pharmacy technicians, you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of outpatient pharmacy operations, contributing to the efficient and safe delivery of medications to our patients. Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians with various tasks in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Learn and perform medication dispensing processes, including receiving prescriptions, data entry, and labeling under supervision.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions, and assisting with prescription pick-ups.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves, monitoring expiration dates, and assisting with order placement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and educational programs to enhance pharmacy knowledge and skills.
- Accurately complete all required documentation and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Assist with processing insurance claims and resolving basic billing inquiries.
