Job Description
Are you looking for a part-time opportunity with consistent hours and weekly pay? UPS is seeking energetic and reliable Package Handlers to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. As a Package Handler, you will play a crucial role in our operations, responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, and scanning packages. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload packages from trailers, trucks, and conveyor belts.
- Sort and scan packages accurately according to destination and shipping labels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Lift, lower, and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds, and occasionally up to 150 pounds with assistance.
- Operate scanning equipment to track package movement.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate package processing.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages regularly (up to 70 lbs independently, up to 150 lbs with assistance).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands of the job.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate package sorting and scanning.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work legally in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or physically demanding role is a plus, but not required.
