Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Perform general upkeep and maintenance of city parks, buildings, and public areas.
- Assist with landscaping tasks including mowing, weeding, planting, and irrigation maintenance.
- Support the cleaning and sanitation of public facilities, restrooms, and common areas.
- Participate in minor repair tasks for city infrastructure, such as benches, fences, and playgrounds.
- Operate basic hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively under supervision.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or repair needs to supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and city staff.
- Assist with special projects and event setups as needed.
Required Skills
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to learn new skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to attendance.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures or willingness to learn and adhere to them.
- Valid California Driver's License (or ability to obtain one).
