Key Responsibilities
- Successfully complete all required training for PCV licensure and RMTD specific operational procedures.
- Operate buses safely and efficiently on assigned routes, adhering to schedules and traffic laws.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with inquiries and ensuring a pleasant transit experience.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Collect fares and issue transfers accurately.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and federal/state transportation laws.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Punctual and reliable work ethic.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
- Physical ability to operate a large vehicle and assist passengers as needed.
Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with the Rockford area road network.
