Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Penetration Tester / Ethical Hacker to join our dynamic cybersecurity team in Carmel, Indiana. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, network infrastructure, mobile applications, and cloud environments.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify weaknesses and potential threats.
  • Develop detailed reports outlining findings, risks, and actionable recommendations for remediation.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to prioritize and implement security fixes.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain custom tools, scripts, and methodologies for penetration testing.
  • Participate in incident response activities as needed, providing expert analysis of attack vectors.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of penetration testing processes and methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in penetration testing and ethical hacking.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and web technologies.
  • Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, Wireshark, etc.
  • Solid understanding of common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and mitigation techniques.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Knowledge of security best practices, frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), and compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, GWAPT, GPEN, CCSP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with red teaming or purple teaming exercises.
  • Knowledge of secure coding principles and practices.
