Job Description
Join the Amazon team as a Student Warehouse Assistant in South Bend, Indiana. This part-time role is perfect for students looking for flexible hours and weekly pay. You will be an integral part of our fulfillment center operations, assisting with the receiving, sorting, and shipping of products. We offer 4-hour shifts designed to accommodate your academic schedule, providing valuable work experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload inventory items from trucks and containers.
- Sort, label, and store items in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with loading and unloading packages onto delivery vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks) after training.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items up to 49 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Currently enrolled in a high school or post-secondary education program.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or logistics environment (even if informal).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
