Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Student Admin Clerk to join our team in Wilmington. This part-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a current student to gain valuable administrative experience within a vital government department. You will provide essential support to various administrative functions, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry and maintaining accurate departmental records.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and general correspondence.
- Prepare and organize documents, reports, and presentations.
- Provide front-desk coverage, greeting visitors and answering phones as needed.
- Schedule appointments and meetings for department staff.
- Order and maintain office supplies inventory.
- Perform general clerical duties, including filing, photocopying, and scanning.
- Support special projects and assignments as directed by supervisors.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a high school diploma program or equivalent, or pursuing higher education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an office or administrative setting (volunteer experience included).
- Familiarity with government administrative processes.
- Experience with database management systems.
