Job Description
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for a fulfilling role with premium rates and a focus on work-life balance? Banner Health in Mesa, AZ, is seeking dedicated Weekend Warrior RNs to join our dynamic nursing team. This part-time position offers premium pay for Saturday and Sunday shifts, allowing you to maximize your earnings while maintaining flexibility during the week. You will provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role is perfect for RNs who thrive in a supportive setting and are passionate about making a significant impact on patient well-being during critical weekend hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting observations accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients and staff.
Required Skills
- Current and unencumbered Arizona RN license.
- BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree preferred.
- Specialty certification (e.g., Med-Surg, Critical Care).
- Experience with various patient populations (e.g., adult, geriatric).
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
