Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mobile Clinic Driver to join our healthcare outreach team. This is a unique hybrid role that combines the critical responsibility of safely operating our mobile health clinic with administrative tasks that can be performed remotely. The successful candidate will be instrumental in extending healthcare services to underserved communities in and around New Port Richey, FL, ensuring that our mobile clinic operates efficiently and reliably. You will be the first point of contact for many patients, embodying our commitment to care and community service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and navigate the mobile health clinic to scheduled community locations across Pasco County.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks, and ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained.
- Manage vehicle logs, maintenance schedules, and fuel records accurately.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the mobile clinic equipment at each site, ensuring a safe and functional environment.
- Provide basic support to clinic staff as needed during outreach events.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and HCA Florida Healthcare policies.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients and staff during transit and at clinic sites.
- Communicate effectively with clinic coordinators, staff, and community partners.
- Handle remote administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and coordination when not actively driving or at a clinic site.
Required Skills
- Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably with larger vehicles.
- Ability to operate and maneuver a large commercial vehicle (mobile clinic).
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs) and perform setup tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or higher.
- Experience driving for a healthcare organization or mobile outreach program.
- Familiarity with Pasco County geography and communities.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
