Job Description
Join Square’s dynamic operations team as a Mobile App Payouts Specialist, focusing on our ‘Work Today, Paid Today’ initiatives. In this crucial role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring seamless and timely disbursement of funds through our mobile application platforms. You will manage and monitor daily payout operations, verify transaction accuracy, resolve payout-related inquiries, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our instant payment systems. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for providing efficient financial solutions to our diverse user base.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute daily mobile app payout processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established timelines for 'Work Today, Paid Today' features.
- Monitor payout queues and systems for potential issues, discrepancies, or fraudulent activities, escalating as necessary.
- Investigate and resolve payout failures, delays, or user inquiries efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer support teams to identify and implement improvements to payout systems and user experience.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, internal policies, and security protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of payout transactions and incidents for reporting and audit purposes.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of training materials and standard operating procedures for payout operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in payment processing, financial operations, or similar roles (minimum 2 years).
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills for transaction review and reconciliation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with mobile applications and payment platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in the FinTech industry, particularly with instant payment or gig economy platforms.
- Familiarity with financial compliance regulations (e.g., AML, KYC).
- Experience with SQL or other data querying tools for reporting and analysis.
