Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Database Engineer to join our innovative team in Winston-Salem. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of SQL databases.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
- Monitor database performance and assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to support data pipelines and integrate AI models.
- Perform routine data backup, recovery, and security procedures.
- Contribute to data modeling and schema design efforts.
- Document database structures, processes, and best practices.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language).
- Understanding of relational database concepts.
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
