Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our global technical support team as a Microsoft Technical Support – Level 1 IT. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office while supporting our diverse client base. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues related to Microsoft products and services, including Windows operating systems, Office 365 applications, and basic network connectivity. You will be responsible for providing efficient, effective, and friendly support, diagnosing problems, and escalating more complex issues to senior support teams when necessary. Key Responsibilities
- Provide initial technical support to end-users via phone, email, and chat for Microsoft-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common problems with Windows operating systems (Windows 10, 11), Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and Office 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams).
- Assist users with account setup, password resets, and software installation.
- Document all support interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 technical support teams following defined protocols.
- Provide clear, concise, and professional communication to users, keeping them informed of progress.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and empathetic service.
- Stay updated with the latest Microsoft products, services, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (12+ months) in a technical support, helpdesk, or IT customer service role.
- Strong foundational knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (client versions).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Office 365.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Customer-centric attitude with a strong desire to help others.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification.
- Microsoft Certified Fundamentals (e.g., MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals) or other relevant Microsoft certifications.
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).
- Prior experience working in a remote support capacity.
- Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
