Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-time Print Finisher to join our team for weekend shifts at our Lexington facility. This role is perfect for individuals with an eye for quality and a passion for craftsmanship, contributing to the final stages of high-quality print products. You will operate various finishing equipment, ensuring that all printed materials meet the highest standards before delivery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend creative output with industrial precision in a dynamic work setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a variety of finishing equipment, including cutters, folders, stitchers, and laminators, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
- Perform routine quality checks on printed materials to identify and correct any defects or inconsistencies.
- Set up machinery according to job specifications, making precise adjustments to achieve desired finishes.
- Collaborate with print operators and other production staff to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Assist with packing and preparing finished products for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate print finishing equipment (e.g., cutters, folders, stitchers)
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Basic mechanical aptitude for machine setup and minor adjustments
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications and work orders
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks
