Job Description
Schneider National is actively seeking experienced and dedicated Class A CDL drivers for our Top Pay Tanker Solo positions. This role offers the security of a weekly minimum guarantee, ensuring consistent earnings for professional drivers who specialize in hauling bulk liquid and gas products. As a Tanker Solo driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of various hazardous and non-hazardous materials across designated routes. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle with tanker endorsement, transporting bulk liquids and gases.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor-trailer and associated equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of cargo, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Manage loading and unloading procedures, including connecting/disconnecting hoses and monitoring product transfer.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, hazardous material guidelines, and company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Perform minor maintenance checks and report any equipment malfunctions promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Tanker endorsement (N endorsement)
- Hazardous Materials endorsement (H endorsement)
- Minimum 2 years (24 months) of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience hauling bulk liquid or gas products
- TWIC card
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Proven record of punctuality and reliability
