Job Description
UPS is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Part-time Stockists in Memphis. This role is specifically designed to be student-friendly, offering flexible part-time hours with absolutely no weekend shifts, allowing you to balance work with your studies and personal life. As a Stockist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly by managing inventory, organizing packages, and preparing items for shipment or storage. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming inventory and packages.
- Accurately sort and stock products in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs independently and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or logistics environment is a plus, but not required.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment.
