Job Description

Are you skilled with tools and have an eye for detail? IKEA is looking for a dedicated Kitchen Hardware Fitter specializing in handles and hinges to join our Santa Clara team. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise and efficient installation of kitchen cabinet handles, knobs, and hinges, ensuring all hardware is perfectly aligned and functional according to IKEA’s high standards. You will work within customer homes or on-site at our store, collaborating with other installation specialists to complete kitchen projects. This position requires excellent manual dexterity, a strong commitment to quality, and outstanding customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately install various types of kitchen cabinet handles, knobs, and pull hardware.
  • Precisely mount and adjust kitchen cabinet hinges to ensure smooth operation and proper door alignment.
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely and efficiently to perform fitting tasks.
  • Perform quality checks on all installed hardware to meet IKEA's functional and aesthetic standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns regarding hardware installation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, both in customer homes and on-site.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of kitchen installation projects.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with hand and power tools for fitting and assembly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision in measurements.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or instruction manuals.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver kitchen components and tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications
