Job Description

Amazon is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Inventory Analyst – E-commerce Retail Support to join our dynamic team. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States. In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing our inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and supporting the seamless operation of our e-commerce retail channels. You will analyze inventory data, forecast demand, and collaborate with various departments to maintain efficient supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels across various product categories and distribution centers.
  • Conduct regular analysis of sales data, inventory turns, and product demand to optimize stock levels.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies through investigation and collaboration with warehouse operations.
  • Generate detailed reports on inventory performance, stock-outs, and overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with procurement, merchandising, and fulfillment teams to ensure accurate inventory forecasting and timely replenishment.
  • Implement inventory control procedures and best practices to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Support new product launches and promotions by ensuring adequate stock availability.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of inventory management tools and systems.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or data analysis, preferably within an e-commerce or retail environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of inventory management principles and retail operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, internal proprietary systems).
  • Familiarity with SQL for data querying and analysis.
  • Experience working in a large-scale e-commerce organization.
  • Knowledge of demand forecasting techniques and statistical analysis.
